Tony
Anthony Desmond Breen has a degree in Dramatic Arts and a degree in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a founding member of the group Noestra Voz, an outreach program for low-income families of the community Isla Vista. Through the medium of theater, Noestra Voz reaches out to children in the community to teach values and give guidance. He is currently working in New York City as an administrative assistant to the Monarch Theater Company, a theater company whose focus is social justice and changing the world. Anthony is an emerging playwright whose work has been seen at the Inner Circle Theater Company in Ojai, California and LACE: Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions. Anthony is an avid surfer and traveler and has traveled in Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Mexico, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. He has photographed the UCSB Summer Theater Lab and the New Plays Festival under the direction of Naomi Iizuka. He plans on applying for an MFA in playwriting/screenwriting for the 2010 school year and is currently trying to get the most out of New York that he possibly can.
